Shot in the UK, France and Australia, this dramatization rotates around post-impressionist craftsman Paul Gauguin. In the wake of moving toward the South Pacific in 1891, Gauguin deserted his agreeable life as a stockbroker in Paris to concentrate on his enthusiasm for painting. Stars Kiefer Sutherland, Nastassja Kinski and Chris Haywood.
The film covers a later piece of Gauguin’s life (Kiefer Sutherland) from 1880 to 1897, when he surrendered his employment as a stockbroker to paint full-time and adventure to Polynesia. It archives how Gaugin become a close acquaintence with Pissarro, felt constrained to paint, surrendered his family and after that chronicled his affection for Tahitian life.
